The company is in a period of huge investments and as a Maintenance Advisor you will set and ensure maintenance of the technical standards required to meet legislatory and operational requirements of the equipment in business. The successful Maintenance Advisor will drive the following key areas, technical lead, management of resource, leadership of the group, budgetary control and project management at the Algerian sites. To achieve world class SHE and engineering performance on all directly controlled work, to meet business standards and all technical and environmental legislative requirements.
Management of the people available to the successful Maintenance Advisor is key. To manage the Maintenance teams, in order to deliver cost effective and timely plant maintenance, to meet business OEE requirements. Selecting, coaching and developing a team of maintenance professionals, such that their skills and expertise are continually developed and fully deployed in line with business needs will be the most important part of this role. Ensure team development is highlighted and annual training plans are fulfilled. Manage and control the cost budgets across the area in order to satisfy business spend and commitment targets, ensuring value for money is demonstrated.To implement systems and procedures for managing work, including specifying, authorising and delivering.With the planning manager ensure adequate standards of repair to meet legislative and operational demands. Also with planning,develop and monitor annual maintenance strategy for own plant area, ensuring ordinary maintenance budget is met. With the engineering manager to develop special repair and maintenance programme and life plan. Fulfil the role of plant contact for special repair projects carried out by others and in some cases fulfil role of project manager for those projects. Provide technical advice to operations team on running life expectancy of equipment still in operation but with maintenance defects. Ensure resource is fully optimised including the business and contractors.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful Maintenance Advisor will be Bachelor or Master level. Candidates must have experience of engineering and equipment maintenance in the plant area or similar operation. Skills in I.T. (use of Microsoft applications, word processing etc.) Enhanced analytical and problem solving skills in the engineering area would be advantageous.

Personal Skills
Credibility with maintenance and senior international management team. Proactive in identifying and solving problems (particularly technical). Good report writing, communication and meeting skills (in-depth reports/life plans) High concern for standards (particularly legislative/engineering standards) Good influencing skills High level of personal resilience.

Conversation will be in English and French. Skills for both languages need to be on advanced level.
